SEASONS IN WORLD CONQUEST

There are four seasons in a World Conquest year: Spring, Summer, Fall, & Winter. Each turn, there will be a 25% cumulative chance that the season will change (i.e. if the season does not change this turn, next turn there will be a 50% chance, then a 75% chance, and so on...) The changes in season will take place at the end of each turn, so you will know the season of the turn you are writing orders for.

The seasons have the following affects:

1) During Spring turns, Infantry-type units in non-desert squares can live off of the land and receive a free 1-20 endurance at the end of the turn.

2) During Summer turns, desert squares cost an additional 5 END for all ground units.

3) During Fall turns, the chance of a Forest concealing "Enemy Activity" reports drops from 75% to 25% due to the lack of foliage on the trees.

4) During Winter turns, Rivers are frozen over and are impassable to all naval units. For the same reason, ground units can cross the frozen rivers with no additional endurance penalty. The naval units are not "frozen into" the river they might be occupying, they just can't move into any new river squares.
