AHA/BJCP sanctioned homebrew competition, open to all entries.
First, second, and third place awards (great ribbons, and prizes) will be given in eight style categories in this event.

Judging will take place at the Black Diamond Brewing Company on February 5, 2000. Entries must be received at Black Diamond (2330 North Main Street, Walnut Creek, CA 94596) by the January 22, 2000 deadline. Please do not send entries before January 10, 2000. Entries must consist of two 12 oz. unmarked bottles, $6.00 per entry (checks made out to The Draught Board), and a label attached to each bottle with a rubber band. The label should state the entrant's name, address, phone number, club affiliation, category, style, and any special ingredients. For entries in the Holiday Beer category, specify any spices/herbs/special ingredients used. For entries in the Mead category, specify melomel, pyment, cyser, or metheglin as necessary. One entry per person per style, please.

Everyone is welcome to come to Black Diamond and celebrate the competition on February 5th, 2000 for the first major homebrew competition of the new year! (walking distance from Walnut Creek BART). This is the fourteenth annual Brew Off, and we would appreciate your support as we start our assocation with Black Diamond. Computerized results and awards ceremony immediately following the judging.
