The ICDA
is dedicated to providing low cost access to technology and computer
training for corporations, small businesses, artists, activists, and persons
seeking a creative livelihood in the burgeoning field of digital media.
Our teachers are education professionals. The center provides an opportunity
to work with these teachers in small groups, without excessive cost.
Classes are hands-on intensives
in graphics, internet and multimedia software, as well as a brief survey
and analysis of current artists' work.
Classes are taught on the Macintosh platform. Most programs are identical
for the Windows platform, and we have taught numerous Windows users on
our Macs.
Students will acquire a thorough knowledge of various aspects of the software
as they collaborate in the step-by-step creation of completed work through
tutorials guided by the instructor. There is a limit of 24 students per
class (2 per computer).
Classes include 12 hours of additional lab time.
