Carmel River work done by CSPA

Carmel River

The CSPA has been very active in an effort to protect and restore the steelhead trout resources of the Carmel River. Steelhead trout were recently listed for protection under the federal Endangered Species Act. Water users on the Carmel River have been given special treatment by the California State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB). The SWRCB has given very little attention to state law which requires the SWRCB to protect and provide water for the Carmel River steelhead resources. Shown below are some of the CSPA activities with the SWRCB in recent years to protect and restore the steelhead resources of the Carmel River.
