A Strong Unifying Cultural Image, Why?
Integrating Learning Styles

The MetaSelf model integrates verbal, visual and bodily modes of learning by consistently selecting metaphors that refer to bodily space, that can be illustrated in simple diagrams, and that can be felt and acted out with one's body. Thus you can easily find your way into the model's meaning no matter whether your chief learning style is verbal, visual or kinesthetic. You can choose either figurative phrases, or the visual model, or your own body as your avenue of approach, but they all end up reflecting each other. This means also that more linear and verbal left-brain thinking and the more wholistic and imagistic right-brain styles overlap in the MetaSelf model. In addition to these complementary sides of the neo-cortex, the model is presumably deeply rooted in early brain structures because it is based on the structure of the body.
